Juan "John" Moreno Jr, 66, of Rochester, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 23rd, 2020. He was born on October 15th, 1953 in Lubboak, Texas to Virginia (Peres) and Juan Moreno, Sr. He grew up in Tucson, Arizona where he graduated from Tucson High School in 1971. After high school he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 8 years as a staff sergeant and security supervisor. While stationed overseas in Thailand, he met the love of his life Monruedee "Dee" Saeheng, who he then married on June 19, 1974. Following his time in Thailand, he was then stationed in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Upon his honorable discharge in 1981, John and Dee moved back to Tucson for 10 years before eventually settling down in the great city of Rochester, Minnesota.
John loved to spend his time fishing, drawing, and cooking. He was always looking for items to add to his extensive collections which included guns, comics, vinyl records and anything Marvel related.
John leaves behind his wife, Dee, of Rochester; his daughter, Jem (Darin) So of Rochester; three grandchildren, Samantha So, Sarah So, and Tyler So, all of Rochester; his father, Juan Moreno Sr. of Tucson, Arizona; his sister Linda Blake also of Tucson, Arizona; and of course, his little dog Max; all of whom he will be missed by dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family memorial was held at the Mahn Family Funeral Home.
