Joyce Thomforde

Joyce Irma Thomforde, 72, of Rockford, IL died Friday, December 22, 2006 in OSF ST. Anthony Medical Center. Born April 22, 1934 in Red Wing to Lawrence & Wilma (Thumann) Swanson. Married to DuWayne Thomforde in Red Wing on August 29, 1952. Graduated from Red Wing Central High School in May of 1952. She worked as Office Manager for Orthodontist Dr. David Cleven for almost 30 years. Enjoyed travel, camping, golf and playing bridge. Survivors include: husband, DuWayne; son, Steven (Mary) Thomforde of Drummond, WI; daughters, Linda (Thomas) Edgren of Sauk Rapids, MN and Leigh (Gregg) Peroutka of Chanhassen, MN; grandchildren, Neil and Jenna Thomforde, Mikael Edgren and Gina Peroutka; sisters, Marge (Tom) Poux of Sanford, NC, Annette Duncan of Red Wing; aunt, Irma Kruse of Rockford, IL; brother-in-laws, Lloyd (Betty) Thomforde of Pensecola, FL and Robert Nordin of Eagan, MN; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and sister, Shirley Nordin. Services will be held in Red Wing, MN at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at United Lutheran Church with a visitation from 11:00 A.M. ? 1:00 P.M., prior to service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave. Rockford, IL. Local arrangements are being held by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
