Joyce (Hayes) Quade-Wynn

Joyce Ann (Hayes) Quade-Wynn, 89, of Red Wing, died Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Mayo Health Systems, Red Wing Campus, surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 21, 1934, in Oak Grove Township, Pierce County, Wisconsin to Joseph and Easie (Burgess) Hayes.  She attended country schools and Ellsworth High School.   On November 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to Richard Quade in Norwood, Iowa.   They moved to Red Wing in 1953, and for 37 and half years she worked as a medication technician at the Red Wing Health Center.  Richard died on October 17, 1998.  In May of 2002, she married Rolland Wynn.  They lived in Hugo for several years.  He preceded her in death on March 16, 2020.  She was a member of First Covenant Church.  Joyce's unwavering kindness and genuine concern for others created a positive impact that resonated deeply with all who knew her.  She cared for her great grandson, Benjamin Quade.  Some of her favorite things she enjoyed doing included baking, collecting teacups and teapots and spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Mercer of Red Wing and Colleen (Chris) Bonner of Arizona; her extended family, Linda Lidgerding of Red Wing, Scott Hayes of Red Wing and Arlene Hayes of Arizona; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.  Besides her husbands, she is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Janelle and one in infancy; one son, Richard and nine siblings.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023, at First Covenant Church in Red Wing with Rev. Jim Murphy officiating.  Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials are preferred to First Covenant Church or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
