Joyce Elizabeth (Wood) Ryan

3/7/1940 – 12/10/2021

Joyce was called home on December 10, 2021.  She was born March 7, 1940, to Floyd and Leona Wood, one of seven children.  Joyce served in the US Army.  She met and married Richard Spriggle and they built their home, board by board, in Bay City, Wisconsin and they were blessed with three children. They later divorced.  Joyce moved to Red Wing, where she met and married Lyle Ryan.  They had lots of adventures together.  Joyce worked 30 years at Jostens.  She loved her family and spending time with them, including her fur-babies, Scrappy and Reesey, who were spoiled to no end.  Joyce loved camping and dancing.  When the guitar played, there was no time for sitting—she would dance every song, every time, and so would everyone with her.

Joyce is survived by her 3 children, Sheryle (Wade) Boldt, Ricky (Rhonda) Spriggle and Richard (Tina) Spriggle; grandchildren, Kristina, Donovan and Gracie and her great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jr., Dayton, Dominick, Cruz and Liam; her brothers, Jim (Joan), Mike (Sandy) and Steve (Deb) Wood and her sisters, Nancy (Jim) Ramstad and Sandy (Joe) Morseth and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and sister, Mary Lou Larson.

She brought love and laughter to all that knew her; strength and courage to everything she did.  Heaven received an amazing angel.  She will be missed but never forgotten.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.  Burial with military honors will be at the Oakwood Cemetery.
