ROCHESTER Visitation for Joyce Archer will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 28, 2009) at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel. Private interment will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Archer, 82, of Rochester, died Thursday (Feb. 26, 2009) at Seasons Hospice.
Joyce Flavia Keller was born Aug. 23, 1926 on the family farm in Milton Township, Dodge County, MN. She graduated from Mantorville High School in 1943 and then worked for the Selective Service System at Dodge Center, MN until it joined Claremont, MN. She married George "Al" Eldon Archer in Kasson, MN and was employed as an Admission Clerk at Olmsted Community Hospital until retirement. She enjoyed sewing Quilts and Scrabble games.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Virginia "Ginny" (Brent) Coggins of Rochester; sons, Alan (Elizabeth "Beth") of Stewartville, MN; Randy (Janis) of Minnetonka, MN; and Gary (Delores) of Rochester; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister Joanne Peterson of Rochester. Her parents, three sisters, and four brothers preceded her in death.
Memorials are suggested to Seasons Hospice or the family.
