Josephine Seberg, 99 of Corpus Christi, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Odysey Hospice Center. She was born May 11, 1914 in Devil's Lake, North Dakota, daughter of Joseph and Louise (Walde) Illa. She grew up in the Sanborn and Lamoure, North Dakota areas. In 1926, she moved to Grand Forks, ND and in 1932, she traveled to Rochester, MN. She attended the University of Minnesota receiving a Bachelor's of Library Science degree. On September 24, 1937, Josephine married Donald Charles Seberg in Minneapolis. She made her living working as a dental assistant in Donald's practice. In 1941, the couple moved to Corpus Christi, TX where Donald started his own dental practice. The couple ran their dental business for 54 years before retiring in 1996. Josephine and Donald would spend their summers up in Lake City, MN. Donald died June 7, 2002. Josephine was a member of the Auxiliary to Nueces Valley Dental Society, Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association
Josephine is survived by her brother-in-law, Dr. Robert (Pearl) Seberg of Lake City, MN; one nephew, Donald Illa, Jr. of Magalia, CA; one niece, Joy McCloskey of Orovill, CA; two cousin, Wilma Schneider of Park Falls, WI and Charlotte Sorensen of St. Cloud, MN . She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers.
