Josephine Roadway

Josephine "Jo" Roadway, age 61, of Lake City died on January 11, 2012 at the Lake City Care Center after a courageous battle with lung and brain cancer. Jo was born in California on March 22, 1950 to Glenn and Marilyn (Lindsey) Foster. She grew up in Aberdeen, and then in the Twin Cities. She graduated from Spring Lake Park High School. Jo worked as a nursing home assistant and later received her LPN. In 1981, she moved to Lake City and worked at the Lake City Nursing Home, River Oaks Nursing Home, and at ProAct where she worked as a job coach until 2009. She married Dave Roadway on February 15, 2008. Jo enjoyed camping, gardening, visiting with friends, watching the birds, and reading. She also enjoyed participating in cancer walks and dragon boat races.
Jo is survived by her husband, Dave Roadway of Lake City; her children, Jeff (Jessica) Morgan of Maplewood, Randi Morgan of Lake City, and Danielle (Caleb) Hall of St. Charles; six grandchildren and one on the way; and one brother, Dennis (Susan) Foster of Detroit Lakes.
Jo is preceded in death by her parents; step-mom Catherine and step-mom Audri.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials preferred to ProAct.
