Josephine Frances Glewwe, age 80, of Red Wing, died Saturday, November 29, 2008, at her home. She was born on February 10, 1928, in St. Paul, to Joseph and Stella (Rezac) Pokorny. She was a 1946 graduate of South St. Paul High School and attended St. Paul School of Art and Design. She married Richard Glewwe on February 10, 1948, at St. Matthew's parish hall in St. Paul. In 1980, she and Richard moved to Red Wing. She was a member of the Church of Saint Joseph.
Survivors include her husband Richard; children David (June) Glewwe, Joyce DuBois, Dale (Dottie) Glewwe and Don (Jodie) Glewwe; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers George (Betty) Pokorny, Ralph Pokorny and Robert Pokorny.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2008, at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Thomas Kommers presiding. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
