Joseph George Schladweiler, age 63, of Crystal, Minnesota, formerly of Ellsworth and Red Wing, died Saturday, February 24, 2007, at Crystal Care Center. He was born on January 14, 1944, in Plum City, Wisconsin to John and Margaret (Jensen) Schladweiler. He was a 1962 graduate of Ellsworth High School. He married Sharon ?Abby? Allyn on October 3, 1964, in Ellsworth where they lived for three years prior to moving to Red Wing. She died on May 16, 2005. He worked for the City of Red Wing for many years and also worked part-time at Pamida until retirement in 1999. He was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing. Survivors include three children, Gina (Wade) Johnson of New Hope, Tim (Anita) Schladweiler of Indianapolis, IN, and Jeff (Patricia) Schladweiler of Margate, Florida; four grandchildren, Tyler and Brady Johnson of New Hope and Jason and Sydney Schladweiler of Indianapolis; his mother, Margaret of Ellsworth; two sisters, Rosemary Huppert of Ellsworth and twin sister, Joan Allivato of Crystal; two brothers, Kenny Schladweiler of Ellsworth and Eugene (Janet) Schladweiler of Austin, Texas; nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his father, John; and wife, Sharon. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church with Father Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 ? 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the time of services Thursday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Pallbearers will be Greg and Mike Allyn, Rich Kaster, Martin Opem, Peter Huppert and Tony Allivato.
