John Douglas Mentes, age 66, of Zumbrota, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013.
He was Born to the late Douglas and Grace Mentes, April 3, 1947, in Saint Paul, MN.
John was a veteran of the Vietnam War and an active member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was passionate about fishing and the Minnesota State Fair.
John is survived by three children, one grandchild, two sisters and two nephews.
John was preceded in death by one brother.
A celebration of life service will be held form 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2013 at the VFW VFW Post 5727 Stary-Yerka in Zumbrota.
