John F. Kenworthy

December 31, 1958 — February 10, 2014

John F. Kenworthy, age 55, of Pine Island, died on Monday, February 10, 2014 as a result of a motor vehicle accident southeast of Rochester. He was born on December 31, 1958, in Waterveliet, MI, to Forest and Lynne (nee Johnson) Kenworthy. John graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1977. He lived in Arizona for a short period of time before returning home to Dodge Center in 1979. On March 1, 1980 he married Vicky Fette at the First Congregational Church in Dodge Center. John worked for Energy Economics Inc., and worked in construction until he started his own company Utility Services Inc. serving the natural gas industry. He enjoyed restoring old cars especially Mopars, old trucks and tractors, and hobby farming.

John is survived by his wife, Vicky of Pine Island; daughter, Pam (Mike) Mesch of Eagan; father, Forest (Kay) Kenworthy of Kokomo, IN; mother, Lynne Kenworthy of Kasson; brothers, Scott (Amy) Kenworthy of Rowlett, TX, Matthew (Tami) Kenworthy of Dickerson, MD, David (Wendy) Kenworthy of Dodge Center; sister, Lynnette (Luke) Nash of Mantorville; and many extended family members.

John was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alvin and Louise Kenworthy; and maternal grandparents, John and Elvera Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Mahler Chapel in Pine Island. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Feed The Children. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
