John Roman Jablecki, age 46, of Red Wing, died suddenly Sunday, November 23, 2008, at his home. He was born on October 29, 1962, in Northridge, California, to Roman and Mary (McDonald) Jablecki. He married Kym Schroetter on October 29, 2001, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They moved to Red Wing in 2003. He worked as a professional chef most recently at Potter's Ridge. He enjoyed all things military, the History Channel, cooking for others, and spending time with his wife and daughter. As a Christian, John received strength from his belief and love in God. He was a devoted husband and father. He will be missed by all who knew him, most especially his wife and daughter.
Survivors include his wife Kym of Red Wing; one daughter Sabrina at home; one step-son Tyler Yepma; sister Christine (Dave) Shesgreen of California. Other family members include brothers-in-law Nick Schroetter and Karl Thompson; sisters-in-law Christie Thompson and Catherine McDonnell-Forney; mother-in-law Bonnie Schroetter; as well as niece and nephew Megan and Alexander Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Calvary Chapel with Pastor Dirk Cedergren officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jay and Jason Albertz, Nick Schroetter, Tyler Yepma, Rick Vogess and Eron Currier. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of services Monday at the church
