Joel `Jodie` Berge

ROCHESTER ? A memorial service for Joel ?Jodie? Berge will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony with the Rev. James Radatz officiating. His wish was to be cremated and burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery in Harmony. Mr. Berge, 48, of Rochester, died Saturday (Mar. 17, 2007) at St. Mary?s Hospital Emergency Room from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born July 25, 1958 in Harmony to Carl and Grace (Ferguson) Berge, he grew up on the family farm and graduated from Harmony High School in 1976. He moved to Rochester and worked for Crenlo, Inc. for thirty years holding several positions including assembler. On Sept. 5, 1981 he married Nancy Busse in Harmony, she survives. He enjoyed Football, Hockey, Music, and Campfires. Survivors include two daughters, Joelynn and Callie Berge both of Rochester; one son Bradley of Rochester; his mother Grace Berge of Harmony; three sisters Marilyn (Merl) Groteboer of Rochester; Barbara (Kieth) Simmons of Linden, Iowa; and Julianne (Rodney) House of Ostrander, MN; four brothers Harold (Rosie) of Harmony; Stan (Ellen) of Dodge Center, MN; James (Barb) of Racine, MN; and Jerry (Daneese) of Lewisville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Carl, and a sister Carol Jertson. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Rochester Chapel and one hour before the service at the church.
