Joan R. Anderson age 68 of Zumbrota died on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa with Father Milo Ernster officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the mass at the church.
Joan Rita Godava was born on October 16, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN to Stephen J. and Josephine M. (nee Guspiel) Godava. She grew up in northeast Minneapolis and graduated from Edison High School in 1956. She started working for Minnesota Mutual Fire and Casualty Insurance Company and worked there until 1978. On August 28, 1971 she married Richard S. Anderson in Trimont, Minnesota. They made their home in St. Louis Park, New Hope, and for twenty five years they lived in New Brighton. In June of 2005 they moved to Zumbrota. Joan enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and watching her TV shows. She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa and a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton.
Joan is survived by her husband, Richard of Zumbrota, one daughter, Theresa (Curtis) Mohr of Farmington, two grandchildren, Jaylen and Aubrey, both of Farmington, one sister, Kathleen (Frank) Maas of Comstock, WI, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota is in charge of arrangements.
