Funeral services for Jo Ann Stahl will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin. The Reverend Terrill Branstedt will officiate. Burial will follow at the Elgin Cemetery. Mrs. Stahl, 59, of Elgin, died Saturday April 11, 2009 as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Haverhill Township, Olmsted County.
Jo Ann Holter was born June 16, 1949 in Red Wing. She attended school in Red Wing and Lake City, and was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1967. She married Ralph Klindworth and the couple later divorced. She then married Dale Stahl on August 16, 1980 at United Lutheran Church in Red Wing. They lived in the Elgin area. Mrs. Stahl has worked at Olmsted Medical Group in Rochester for the past ten years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin, and served on the EDA Board. She was a past member of the Elgin School Board, Elgin City Council, and Wabasha County Planning and Zoning.
She is survived by three children, Brenda (Mike) Goldman of Arden Hills, Minnesota, Brian (Ann) Klindworth of Elgin, Brochelle Brennan of Red Wing; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Michael, Bobby, Hunter, Micah, Megan, William, and Benjamin; a brother, Charles Holter of Red Wing; and a sister, Carol (Dave) Bonde of Red Wing; along with loving nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Jean Pederson. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a brother, Dave.
Friends may call Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church and the visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Mahn Family Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
