Jill Eileen (Thorstad) Wiesner

Jill Eileen (Thorstad) Wiesner, 77 of Rochester, passed away peacefully the morning of September 22nd, 2023.

Jill was born March 9th, 1946, to proud parents, Michael and Naomi (Crusen) Thorstad. Jill grew up and attended school in Morris, MN. Jill met the love of her life, David, as he was studying Early Childhood Education at the University of Minnesota, Morris. Upon David’s successful graduation the couple moved to Rochester, MN where they settled down, raised a family, and called home the remainder of their lives. Jill was a homemaker and retired from the hospitality industry where she met many friends who she enjoyed. Jill’s pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Jill was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50+ years, David Wiesner; her parents Michael and Naomi Thorstad; brother-in law Wenzel Wiesner & Bruce Wiesner; and sister-in-law Bev Wiesner.

Jill is survived by her brother Michael (Penny) Thorstad of Alexandria, her children Jamie (Sabine) Wiesner of Mazeppa, Heather (Kelly) Zimmerman of Rochester, Chad (Alicia) Wiesner of Owatonna and Taylor (Brady) Wiesner-Rollie of Rochester.  Jill is also survived by Grandchildren Jesse, Nicholas, Abigail, Alyssa, Elli, and Tyler; and Great-grandchildren Aubree, Maddox, Legacy, Ryker, and King.
