Jessy Marks

Jessy William Marks, 44, of Ellsworth, was born on August 4, 1979, in Red Wing, Minnesota and passed away on June 19, 2024, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He grew up in Ellsworth and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1998. He continued his education at Dakota County Tech College for Telecommunications. On August 14, 2009, he was married to Angie Matzek, and they resided in Ellsworth. He worked for Plummer Concrete and at the time of his death he was employed with Allied Universal as an armed security guard. Jessy was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose love and dedication touched the lives of many. Even after his death his generous gift of organ donation will impact many people.

Jessy had a passion for life and found great joy in hunting, golfing, and spending quality time with his family. He was an enthusiastic supporter of his daughters' sporting events, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer them on from the sidelines. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

 Jessy is survived by his beloved wife, Angie Marks, and their three cherished daughters, Mackenzie, Alexis, and Aubrianna. He is also survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Jeanne and Mike O’Connell; his brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Polly Marks; his sister, Alli O’Connell and mother-in-law, Sandra Matzek of Ellsworth. Jessy was preceded in death by his father, Greg Marks; father-in-law, James Matzek and friend, Nick Bayer. 

A private service will be held. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jessy's life at a gathering on Friday June 28, 2024, from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Ridgetop, W10516 US-10, Prescott, WI. This Celebration of Life will be a time to share memories, stories, and honor the remarkable life Jessy lived. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to his daughters’ education fund.  Arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Ellsworth Chapel.
