Jerry Larson
Jerrold "Jerry" Kim Larson, 54, of Solon Springs, Wisconsin, formerly of Red Wing, died unexpectedly, Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010. He was born March 27, 1955 in Red Wing to Neal and Betty (Johnson) Larson and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1973. He attended Red Wing Vocational School, studying refrigeration, and graduated in 1976. He worked various jobs in the Red Wing area and later ran his own welding shop, until 2001 when he retired and moved to Solon Springs. He was a retired volunteer firefighter for the Red Wing Fire Department Hose Company #4. He enjoyed being on the Mississippi River, whether it was waterskiing, fishing or camping on the river and for the past 15 years, has enjoyed vacationing in Jamaica.
He is survived by 2 sons, Aaron and Trevor Larson of Red Wing; parents, Neal and Betty of Arizona; siblings, Jeff (Missy) Larson of Red Wing, Jane (Ron) Belshan of Myrtle, Minn., Jody (Lee) Diercks of Bradenton, Fla. and Jack (Jayne) Larson of Red Wing and 11 nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
