Jerome “Jerry” Dieltz, 82, of Lake City passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at The Bluffs in Lake City.

Jerry was born on September 14, 1938 in Jasper, MN. to John & Emma (Buysse) Dieltz. He graduated from Jasper High School in 1956. After High School, he attended Dunwoody Institute where his life long passion and career in the automotive world started. Jerry married his childhood sweetheart, Jean Pedersen in 1958 in Jasper, MN.

Jerry and Jean enjoyed spending time boating on Lake Minnetonka and Lake Pepin with family and friends.  Jerry was a car and motorcycle enthusiast.  He loved riding motorcycle along the river as well as the mountains in Arizona.  Jerry enjoyed volunteering and his friendships he built with the Lake City Lions Club.

Jerry is survived by his sons Mark (Lisa) Dieltz of Lake City, MN; Scott (Jessie) Dieltz of Eagan, MN.; Jeff Dieltz of Big Lake, MN.; his grandchildren Amanda (Luke) Peterson, Brittany (Aaron) Pyzdrowski, John Dieltz, Steven (Allison) Dieltz; great grandchildren Ava Pyzdowski, Elsie Peterson, Brynlee Pyzdrowski, Arden Peterson.; his sister Veronica Moore.

He is preceded by his devoted wife, Jean Dieltz; parents, John & Emma Dieltz; brothers, Wayne Dieltz, Dale Dieltz; sister, Lorraine Dieltz.

A private  Graveside Service will be held at  St. Mary’s of the Lake  Catholic Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 2 to 4 pm at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson – Peterson Chapel in Lake City. After the visitation, a Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held at one of his favorite places…The Old Bank Bar from 4 to 6 p.m.  On-Line Condolences may be placed at mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a donation made to the Lake City Lions would be appreciated.
