Jeffrey Alan Hawkinson age 48 of Goodhue, passed away June 17, 2009 at home.
Jeff was born June 4, 1961 in Red Wing, MN to Robert & Barbara (Juers) Hawkinson. He grew up in Belvidere Township and graduated from Goodhue High School in 1979. After graduating he worked at Mid America Dairy in Zumbrota for 2 years. He farmed his entire life on the family farm. He enjoyed gardening, farming, and the simple things in life.
He is survived by his mother Barbara Hawkinson of Lake City; brother, Scott Hawkinson of Goodhue, MN; sister, Shari (Terry) Schumacher of Lake City; Godparents, Joan (Hawkinson)Perron of Centennial, CO and Robert Juers of Borrego Springs, CA; and many friends and relatives. He was preceded by his father Robert Hawkinson, maternal grandparents Elmer & Minnie (Heitman) Juers; paternal grandparents, Raymond & Emma (Kohrs) Hawkinson.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Dennis Valleau officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Saturday from 3 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, the St. John's Stained Glass Restoration Fund and the St. John's Helping Hand Fund.
