Jeanette "Babe" Knutson

Jeanette "Babe" Berniece Knutson, age 79, of Red Wing, died Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Red Wing Health Center. She was born on July 28, 1929 in Red Wing to Einar and Hilda (Upman) Knutson. She attended Red Wing Central High School. She worked for Durkee Atwood then Dayco for forty years retiring in 1991. She was a nature lover and a history buff. She enjoyed fishing, reading and going to the casino.

She is survived by nieces and nephews including a special niece Barbara Hauer of Red Wing. Preceding her in death were three brothers Ed, Axel and William Knutson; and three sisters Dorothy Sundberg, Agnes Danielson and Helen Halpaus.

Private burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society. Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel is handling arrangements
