Jean Anderson Ellis, 81, of Red Wing, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park. She was born June 11, 1931 in Minneapolis to Earnest and Esther Newport.
She worked at the Red Wing Health Center and at Hi-Park Care Center. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Ellis of Red Wing; children, Dianna (Wayne) Cooper of Conway, MO, David (Joann) Anderson of Red Wing, Douglas Anderson of Charlottesville, VA, Debra (Roger) Leech of Elk River, Doreen (Jim) Facile of Bakersfield, CA and Christine (Paul) Polk of Maple Grove; one daughter-in-law, Janet Kay Anderson of Champlin, MN; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one brother, Robert (LaVonne) Newport of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William D. Anderson; 2 sisters, Elaine Blichfeldt and Maisie Bauer and a brother, Leslie Newport.
