Jay Gardas

Cashmere "Jay" Gardas, age 61 of Hager City, Wisconsin died on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at his residence. Jay was born on September 10, 1946 in Red Wing, MN the son of Cashmere and Genette (Johnson) Gardas. He was a graduate of Ellsworth High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He was a lifelong resident of Trenton Island and a past employee of the City of Red Wing. He was an avid reader.

Jay is survived by his mother Genette (Bud) Cedarblade of Hager City, WI; brother Charles (Sharon) Gardas of Hager City, WI; two half-sisters Lori (Robert) Steenblock of Petersburg, AK, Pam ( Steve) Musser of Clarkfield, MN; one half-brother Matt (Mary) Gardas of Ellsworth, WI; step-mother, Doris Gardas of Hager City. He was preceded in death by his father Cashmere Gardas.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery
