Jason Eugene Sibley

Jason Eugene Sibley, 48, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2019, at his place in St. Cloud, MN.
Jason was born on April 9, 1970 in Winnipeg, Canada. He became the son of Ervin Sibley and Elaine Powell on May 21, 1971. He was raised in Mazeppa, Minnesota and attended Zumbrota-Mazeppa Schools until graduation in 1988. After graduation he joined the army and was stationed in Salina, KS. After his stint with the military was finished, he moved back to Minnesota and worked in security at Treasure Island Casino, among other jobs. Jason later moved to Florida and worked at SafeKill Pest Control until he moved backed to Minnesota at the time of his father's death. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved cats and kitties. He had a soft heart,a big smile and a great sense of humor.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Sibley; his stepfather, Spike Powell; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Lela Sibley and his maternal grandparents, Millard and Jeanette Edgar.
He is survived by his mother, Elaine Powell; his sisters Kia Hackman (Steve) and Lisa Sparhawk (Sam) and his stepmother, Mary Sibley . Because he was the light of our life, he will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
The Celebration of Jason's life will be at 3 pm on Thursday, March 14, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Larson Chapel in Zumbrota, MN. Online condolences are welcome and may be written at mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
