Janet Jablonske

Janet B. Jablonske, age 70, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born on December 30, 1939 in Jackson County, Alabama to Willie and Mattie (Eakin) Brewton. She graduated from Pisgah, Alabama High School in 1957. She worked for the secretary of the Navy in Washington DC, where she met her husband, Dennis, and they were married February 28, 1958 in Pax River, MD. They lived in Red Wing, where she worked for Ridell Shoe Inc., USG, Sturdiwheat, and most recently at the MN Correctional Facility, retiring in 1996. In her younger years she had enjoyed camping, playing pool, bowling, and snowmobiling, but has always enjoyed reading and playing cards.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Jablonske of Red Wing; sons, Dennis (Chris) Jr. of Clarksville, TN, Scott (Connie) of Red Wing, Steve (Anne) of Oneida, KY; daughter, Blake (Kal) Olson of Apple Valley; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie (Ray) Guy of Pisgah, AL and Sue (Dan) Roberson of Huntville, AL; brother, Bill (Virginia) Brewton of Rosale, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise; grandson, Steven Jablonske Jr. and granddaughter, Tiffany Brown.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday July 20, 2010 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Pisgah, AL.
Services in Pisgah will be on Tuesday, August 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar, AL with visitation one hour prior.
