Jane Persig

Jane Loretta Persig, 88, of Red Wing, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. She was born on March 7, 1920, in Red Wing to Byron and Alma (Vanberg) Bartlett. She attended Red Wing Schools and for 20 years worked at LaGrange Shoe Company. She also babysat for the Sam Struss family for many years. On June 27, 1953, she was married to Herbert Persig at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He died on February 4, 1981.

Survivors include nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Edna Martenson of Red Wing and special friends the Sam and Jane Struss family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Irene Anderson, Edith Hangsen and Florence Bohmbach and one brother, Ralph Bartlett

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Rev. Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
