OBITUARY: Jane Lemke
Mass of Christian Burial for Jane Lemke will be on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Zumbrota with Father Timothy Dolan officiating. Burial will follow in the Zumbrota Cemetery.
Jane Marie Lemke, age 89, of Zumbrota died on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at her residence. She was born on June 30, 1919 in Jordan, MN to Leo and Mary (nee Marxen) Nachbar. She attended school and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. On December 31, 1947 she married Dr. Robert R. Lemke in Minneapolis. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Zumbrota where Robert had a chiropractic business. He died on October 13, 1982. Jane was a member of Saint Paul's Catholic Church and served on many ladies groups. She enjoyed joy rides and sightseeing around the area, bird watching, playing cards and she kept in contact with numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Jane is survived by eight nieces and nephews; Dr. Marlene Nachbar (Archie) Hapai of Kurtistown, HI, Myron A. Nachbar II of Volcano, HI, Glenn (Elizabeth) Nachbar of Spokane, WA, Daniel Nachbar of Honokaa, HI, Robert (Mary) Irwin of Omaha, NE, Bruce (Lisa) Irwin of Chesterfield, VA, Elizabeth (Mike) Curl and Myra Irwin, both of Greshan, OR, eleven great nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mary; her husband, Robert; one sister, Dorothy Irwin and two brothers, Roland and Myron Nachbar.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday
