Jane M. Larsen age 51 of Goodhue died on Saturday evening, September 1, 2007 at the Charter House Hospice in Rochester after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Goodhue with Reverend Mike Gustafson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 4:00 � 8:00 PM at the church and on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
Jane Marie Kraft was born on June 9, 1956 in Canby, MN to Leslie "Bud" and Lois (nee Christensen) Kraft. She grew up in rural Canby and graduated from Canby High School in 1974. Jane attended the Rochester Community College and graduated in 1976 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. On March 3, 1979 she married Larry L. Larsen in Marshall. They made their home in Goodhue and Jane worked as a nurse at St. Marys Hospital until 1983. From 1983 to 1985 she worked for Larsen Industries in Goodhue. Jane returned to her nursing career at St. Marys and retired in 2006 due to failing health. Jane was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church where she served on the church council and the Goodhue Lioness Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, cooking, collecting angels, crafts, garage sales, and spending time with her family and friends.
Jane is survived by her husband, Larry, her parents, Bud and Lois Kraft of Zumbrota, three sisters, Sandy (Brian) Cooper of Rochester, Betty (Allen) Hanenberger of Dodge Center and Susan (John) Alley of Canby, her mother-in-law, Arlene Larsen of Byron, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Jane was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Lucille Kraft and Alfred and Audrey Christensen and father-in-law, Lawrence Larsen. Casketbearers are Jaycee Nilson, Karolin Lex, Beverly Paul, Joyce McCormick, Kathy Dahl and Pat Otte. Honorary bearers are her nieces and nephews. Arrangements are with the Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota.
