James A. Stubbs, age 69, of Pine Island died suddenly on Monday, June 19, 2917 at his home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Pastor David Krinke officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
James Arnold Stubbs was born on January 16, 1948 in Metter, Georgia to Arnold and Vera (nee Groover) Stubbs. He grew up in Metter and on March 12, 1965 he entered the U. S. Army. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged on May 14, 1976. Jim enjoyed his job as an over the road truck driver for thirty plus years. He retired in 2010. Jim loved golfing, fishing, spending time with his bride Bubba, his truck and family members, too numerous to mention.
Jim married Patricia Kihlgren on May 21, 1986 and they made their home in Pine Island. They lived life to the fullest for their thirty one years together. They were set to begin their next adventure, moving to Jackson, CA. Please keep Pat in your thoughts as she fulfills this dream.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia; children; Cynthia (Iria) Morrissette of Rincon, GA, Rick (Tinia) Spaulding of Minneapolis and Gary (Jeana) Spaulding of Union City, CA; grandchildren, Shannon, Sean, Seth, Ryan, Josephine, Tania and Geordan; great-grandchildren, Camdon, Roman, Alexander, Makayla, Isaac, Logan, Xavier, Jevon and Desiah; and sister, Eileen Stubbs of Glennville, GA.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Vera and brother, Anthony Stubbs.
