James, "Jim", Earn Stockwell, 76, of Goodhue, passed away unexpectedly at his home March 29, 2025. He was born to Arthur and Carol (Julius) Stockwell on March 31, 1948. Jim later met his future wife Veronica, "Ronnie", together they had three sons, Ronald, Andrew, and Peter. Jim's family was one of the most important things in his life, the collies he fostered with Ronnie were a close second. Jim and Ronnie have fostered collies for many years through the Minnesota and Wisconsin Collie Rescue, and would bring their sweet collies to visit people on hospice at nursing homes. He liked collecting antique glass, dragon handle Limoges, and guitars. Jim also loved his cars ever since his first, a 1955 Chevrolet Nomad, and has kept track of nearly every car since then.
He is survived by his beloved wife Veronica; three sons Ronald (Rachel) Stockwell of Overland Park, Kan., Andrew (Katie) Stockwell of Griswold, Conn., and Peter Stockwell Golden Valley, Minn.; brother Richard (Mary Pat) Stockwell of LeSueur, Minn.; six grandchildren Blake, Tyler, Kaylin, Cody, Owen, and Scarlett Stockwell; two step-grandchildren Zackary, and Arik Crocker; and two step-great grandchildren Desmond, and Oliver Crocker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Carol Stockwell.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Acknowledgements preferred to the Minnesota and Wisconsin Collie Rescue.
