James "Jim" Kann, 65, of Rochester, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at St. Marys Hospital. He was born June 16, 1947 in Red Wing, to Bernard and Rosella (Borgschatz) Kann. He attended school in Red Wing. After high school he worked as a painter and in the early ‘80's he moved to Rochester and had owned his own business, "Jim's Painting and Drywall".
He is survived by 2 siblings, Ardell (Jack) Decker and Arnie Kann both of Red Wing; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosella Johnson; father, Bernard Kann; brother, John Kann; sister, Janet Charlson; a niece and a nephew.
Per Jim's request, there will be no services. Arrangements by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
