James "Jamie" Martin Enblom, 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Hammond, MN on June 7th with family members by his side.
He was a quiet, gentle man whose favorite moments were spent in the woods, walking and monitoring the forests, birds and wildlife. Hunting for morel mushrooms and ginseng in the spring was a special joy for him. He taught his daughter and later his granddaughter to fish in the rivers near his home, continuing a family tradition.
He attended Mayo High School, Rochester, and graduated from Red Wing High School
after the family moved to Wacouta. He attended the University of Northern Colorado where he pursued studies in biology and botany. He continued his studies in Forestry in Ely, MN, and worked for the DNR.
Jamie is survived by his daughter, Katherine and granddaughter, Kinsley Rose; siblings, John (Lori) of Hastings, Julie (Charles) Curt of Florida, Mark of Bemidji; former wife, Sharon Enblom. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marguerite (Peggy) Enblom.
A Celebration of Life will be held on the 26h of July, 2:00 PM at his home in Hammond MN, 30 1st Ave South, 55991. All are welcome.
