Jacqueline Ann Walsh

Jacqueline Anne Walsh, 76, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at her home. She was born September 28, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to John and Laurayne Rossi. She graduated from Red Wing High School in 1960. She married Kenneth Walsh on April 18, 1959, and they made their home in Red Wing. She began her career at the Goodhue County National Bank as a secretary in 1961 and retired as Vice President and Cashier with a Master of Banking Administration degree from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. She taught Sunday School and served on the Church Council at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and served on the Board of Directors at St. John's Hospital. She was an avid golfer at the Red Wing Country Club and loved to entertain, especially at Christmas. She also lovingly cared for her home on West Sixth Street, where she and Ken lived for over 38 years. She also loved her Yorkshire terriers. When her parents died in an automobile accident in 1978 on US 61 in Red Wing, she worked to help elect a state legislator committed to improving the highway.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth; son Todd; brother Robert (Barbara) Rossi, Constance (Ronald) Donley, brother-in-law William (Ruth Ann) Walsh; brother-in-law Robert (Melody) Walsh, and sister-in-law Candace (Lanny) Larsen, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Dana Jackson officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
