Jack Chandler, age 95, of Rochester, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Madonna Towers, where he had resided for the past twelve years. He was born April 17, 1922 in Detroit, MI. Jack served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II, from 1942 to 1945. After his discharge, he attended the Lawrence Institute of Technology in Detroit where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering and began working for IBM. On Aug. 18, 1951 he married the love of his life, Alice Eleanor LeLacheur, in Royal Oak, MI. They moved to Rochester, MN where he continued to work at IBM for 35 years, and was promoted to Department Manager. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, loved to play and watch golf, enjoyed bowling, and loved to play card games. Jack loved his family and everyone that surrounded him.
