Iva Marion Larson, 99, of Red Wing, died Saturday, December 31, 2016, at St. Crispin Living Community, Seminary Home. She was born on December 5, 1917, in Hay Creek Township to Henry and Mabel (Watson) Cordes. On June 8, 1941 she married Leonard Larson in Yuma, Arizona. She was a long time employee of Spurgeons Department Store in Red Wing. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two children, Virginia (Doug) Wichlacz of Fort Collins, Colo. and Steve (Cheryl) Larson of Red Wing; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers, Floyd, Lester and Leslie.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa at Hi-Park and the Seminary Home for the care she received from them these past few months.
