Irene Margaret Tri

Irene M. Tri, age 87, of Pine Island, died on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island. She was born on April 19, 1925, in Bellechester, to Tony and Pearl (Arendt) Hart. She grew up in Lake City where she attended school. On November 19, 1946, she married Oswald Tri in Lake City. They farmed in the Mazeppa area until 1986. Irene was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa, and Mazeppa Senior Citizens group. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Irene had a passion for animals especially cats and dogs.
Irene is survived by her sons, Ron (Rose) Tri of Rochester, Arn (Julie) Tri of Zumbrota; granddaughters, Kelli Butrum, Kari (Scott) Williamson, Katie Tri, Cailla Tri, Cassie Tri; four great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Blattner of Eau Claire, WI; and brother, Martin "Pete" (Rose) Hart of Lake City.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Oswald Tri who died on January 28, 2004; and sister, LaVerna Tri.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa with Father Joseph Fogal presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to donor's choice or Paws and Claws Humane Society.
