Irene Beatrice Dosdall, 86, of Diamond Bluff, died Friday, February 23, 2007, at the Fairview Seminary Home in Red Wing. She was born on April 5, 1920, in Swift County, Minnesota to William and Minnie (Nesset) Langsdorf. At a young age her family moved to Red Wing and she graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1938. For a number of years she worked for Insurance Company in the Twin Cities and Red Wing Pottery. On July 12, 1945, she was married to Albert Dosdall in Red Wing. They famed many years in the Diamond Bluff area. Albert died on January 18, 1999. She continued to live on the farm until becoming a resident of the Fairview Seminary Home in 2003. She was member of the Diamond Bluff United Methodist Church where she was active in the women?s society and taught Sunday School and Bible School. She enjoyed gardening, walking and needlework. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon (Douglas) Hirdler of Ely; one son, Roger (Bonny) Dosdall of Diamond Bluff; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Applequist of Waconia; daughter-in-law, Amy Dosdall of Diamond Bluff and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Ronnie Dosdall; three brothers, Leonard, Kenneth and Willard Langsdorf; one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Rev. Shelley Lyksett officiating. Spring burial will be in the Diamond Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Diamond Bluff United Methodist Church.
