Ionne Geneva (Anderson) O'Connors died at the Rehabilitation Center in Allison, Iowa, on April 9, 2016, at the age of 99. She was born in Hantho Township, rural Louisburg, Minnesota, on September 10, 1916, to Gunder and Ina (Benson) Anderson.
She graduated from Appleton High School. She married Ralph J. O'Connors in 1942 in Appleton, Minnesota. They had two children, Patricia Ann and James Edward. She was a homemaker all her life. She was a world traveler with her husband and enjoyed bridge.
She is survived by her son, James, of New Brighton, MN; three sisters, Frances Torstenson of Minneapolis, MN, Barbara (Willard) Andreasen of Yucca Valley, CA, Margaret Gronholz of Appleton, MN; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Anderson of Appleton, MN, Lillian Anderson of Northfield, MN, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, her parents; three brothers, Philip, Douglas and Charles; one sister, Evelyn Larson; three brothers-in-law, Vernon Larson, Joel Torstenson and Roger Gronholz; one sister-in-law, Lois Anderson; her in-laws Meta and Edward O'Connors, and sister and brother-in-law, Verl and Inez Rollings; two nephews and one niece.
Memorial services will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev Tim Ehling officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City is handling the arrangements.
