Inez Jenkins

Marie ?Inez? Jenkins, 95, of Red Wing, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at the Fairview Seminary Home in Red Wing. She was born on January 22, 1912, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Martin and Mary (Schubert) Carlson. The family moved to Red Wing in 1920. She attended St. Joseph?s Elementary School in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1930. She married Stanley Jenkins on August 27, 1935. They lived in Red Wing, St. Paul and Dayton, Ohio where Stanley was employed with Northwest Airlines. They returned to Red Wing in 1944. Stanley died on January 1, 2003. Inez was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church and active in the women?s guild. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann and husband John McCabe of Rochester, New York; three grandchildren, Daniel, Elizabeth and Michael McCabe; seven great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church with Father Thomas Kommers presiding. Private burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Fairview Seminary Home.
