Ida Hammes, 87, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Fairview Seminary Home. She was born July 30, 1922 in Dora, Missouri to Ephraim and Annie (Hall) Coble. Ida attended schools in Missouri. In 1944 she was married to Joseph Hammes in Seattle Washington. The couple resided in the Minneapolis area. Ida loved animals, she enjoyed activities such as Bingo and trips to the casino. She loved visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Eric) Petitpierre of Virginia state; three sons, Joseph (JoAnn) of Isle, Stephen (Judy) of Red Wing, and Gregory (Diane) of Brooklyn Park; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and three sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; three sisters, and one brother.
Private family interment will be held at Glenhaven Cemetery in Crystal, Minnesota. Memorials are preferred to a charity of the donor's choosing. Arrangements by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
