Henrietta "Hank" Baldwin, 102, of Red Wing, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at the Seminary Home. She was born December 14, 1912, in Wheeler, Washington, to August and Dora (Winger) Westfield. She graduated from Johnson High School in St. Paul, Minnesota. She married Harrison Cadwell and he later died. She then married Roy Baldwin. During her life, she worked at Meyer Clothing Store and the Hastings Gazette. She and Harry also owned and operated the Dug Out Grocery Store in Hastings. Hank was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and also volunteered at the T.B. Sheldon Auditorium. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family.
She is survived by 3 children, Bruce (Diane) Cadwell of Shoreview, Barbara (Whitey) Safe of Red Wing and Bernard Cadwell of Colfax, Wis.; 7 grandchildren, Jeff (Pam) Cadwell, Scott (Julie) Safe, Julie (Jerry) Eckstrom, Carmen (Jeff Nerud) Marzitelli, Greg Cadwell, Anthony (Sue) Cadwell and John (Barb) Cadwell; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harrison Cadwell and Roy Baldwin; 2 sisters, Adeline Proesch and Ora Mierva and 1 brother, Ross Westfield.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery, St. Paul. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
