Helen Mary Schoenfelder

Helen Mary Schoenfelder, age 80 of Goodhue, died Friday, June 1, 2012 at her home. Helen was born November 12, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Florian and Mary (Ciscon) Guzak. She was united in marriage to Raymond John Schoenfelder on November 5, 1949, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Catawba, Wisconsin. They lived in Wisconsin and later moved to Minnesota in 1968. Helen was a devout, Catholic woman who greatly loved her family-faith and family were most important to her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Raymond, 14 children: Anna Sills, Helen McNamara, Jeanne Bjorngaard, Raymond Schoenfelder, Rita Herndon, John Schoenfelder, Carol Schoenfelder, Judith McShane, Richard Schoenfelder, Joseph Schoenfelder, Carl Schoenfelder, Mark Schoenfelder, Karen Kennedy, Lenore Austin, and their spouses; 54 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; siblings Joseph (Betty) Guziak and Francis Guzak; 2 brothers-in-law James Nelson & Robert Schonfelder and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Joyce, grandson Brian Bjorngaard, infant great-granddaughter Kellen Schoenfelder, infant brother Charles, sister Mary Ann Nelson, and sister-in-law Joan Guzak.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2012, at St. Columbkill Catholic Church with Father Bruce Peterson officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. , with a Rosary at 5 p.m., on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Helen often said her children were her flowers, and being she was blessed with many "flowers", memorials are preferred.
