OBITUARY: Helen Kuehn Funeral service for Helen Mae Kuehn will be at 3pm on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Zumbrota with Reverend Janet Shannon officiating. Katha Johnson will provide the music. Casketbearers will be Bryce Ofstie, Rick Ofstie, Robert Sorby, Tim Mark, Chris Mark, Heath Oeltjen, Jeff Higgins and Jeff Tupper. Burial will follow in the Zumbrota Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to First Congregational United Church of Christ. Helen, age 91, of Zumbrota died on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Zumbrota Nursing Home. She was born on July 25, 1915 in Wabasha County, Minnesota to Claude and Sadie (Schlasner) Kline. She attended school in the Zumbro Falls and Mazeppa area and farmed with her parents near Zumbrota for many years. After moving into Zumbrota, Helen worked at the Zumbrota Motel, the Bakery, and the Frederick Willis Zumco and Henning?s Hatchery. On May 6, 1967, she married Harold Kuehn, of Mazeppa. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ where she was a dedicated church worker. She enjoyed gardening and was a devoted daughter and a loving aunt to her nine nieces and one nephew. Helen is survived by one brother, Marvin (Bette) Kline, of Rainier, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters: Shirley Wood, Olive Mark and Betty Evarts; and one brother, Mervin Kline. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
