Helen Kearns

Helen Barthule Kearns, age 93, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Lake City Care Center where she had resided for the past four years. Helen was born on October 29, 1918 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She married Harold G. Kearns in Lincoln, Nebraska. Helen was an active member for 50 years of the Eastern Star Chapter 325 in Bellevue, NE. Helen worked for the Bellevue school system making donuts for 25 years - she enjoyed her job. Her favorite activities were bingo, camping, fishing with Harold and enjoying her grandchildren.
Helen is survived by a son, Harold Kearns Jr. of Bellevue, NE; daughter, Linda (Ron) Kearns Harvell of Lake City, MN; five grandchildren, Mike Kearns, Teri (Shawn) Kearns Gentlemen, Chris (Rula) Kearns, Brian (Laurie) Harvell, Rebecca (Troy) Harvell Reed; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Herman Barthule of San Jose, CA and Edward Barthule of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and two brothers.
Memorial service will be held at a later date at the Lake City Care Center. Burial will take place in Bellevue, Nebraska at a later date. Memorials are preferred to family.
