Hazel O. Perrett, age 86, of Wanamingo died on Sunday November 8, 2009 at her home.
Hazel Ordella Husbyn was born February 11, 1923 in Belle Creeke Township to Gerhard and Tomine (nee Ovalson) Husbyn. She graduated from Wanamingo High School and soon after owned and operated a hair salon in Wanamingo. She then began to work in the packaging department at Maple Island Creamery in Wanamingo and retired in 1985. Hazel married Frank Perrett on February 15, 1947. He died May 28, 2008 after 61 years of marriage. She enjoyed playing cards, baking, and cooking.
Hazel is survived by 5 children, Leslie Perrett, Michael (Marilyn) Perrett, Mary Jo Rothen and Vicki Burdick, all of Wanamingo, and Linda (Michael) Hoseth of Liberty, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, and sister, Thelma (Arland) Sundry of Wanamingo. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Grace Farris.
The casketbearers will be Hazel's grandsons: Andrew Burdick, Brian Hoseth, Jamie Hoseth, Trevor Perrett, Adam Rothen, and Jason Rothen.
