Hazel Issendorf, age 91, of Lake City died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Fairview Red Wing Hospital. Hazel was born on August 4, 1919 in Mazeppa, MN, to Emil and Alice (Krinkie) Freiheit. She grew up in Bellechester and attended country school. She went to college in Kansas for a short while, then came back and worked on the family farm. She married Dallas Issendorf on June 16, 1944, at the United Brethren Church in Hammond, MN. They started farming in Belvidere Township, then in 1954 moved to West Albany Township and farmed until retiring. After retiring they moved to Lake City in 1977. Dallas passed away May 29, 2009. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Lake City. She enjoyed her Persian cat, Pooky.
Hazel is survived by her children, Dennis (Gloria) Issendorf, Eileen (Harry) Linscheid both of Lake City; grandchildren, Brad (Amy) of Lake City, Christopher Daley of Welch, MN, Tracy (Marc) Sears of Ellsworth, WI; 6 great-grandchildren; Brother, Forrest "Bud" (Elva Mae) Freiheit.
Hazel is proceeded in death by her husband Dallas, grandson, Michael Issendorf, granddaughter Diann Issendorf, great-grandson, Owen Issendorf; 2 brothers Floyd and Louis Freiheit; sister, Dorothy Jones.
