Harvey Robert Bjork

Harvey Robert Bjork, 82, of Red Wing, died Saturday, December 15, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born on October 27, 1925, in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1944. In 1948 he married Joyce Bostrom. They lived in Waseca for 20 years where he was employed as a general manager at Johnson Chevy/Olds and Arnolds Motors. In 1980 they moved to Red Wing where he worked at Jorgenson and Tim Amdahl's Red Wing Motors. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He had a love for music and was a well accomplished pianist.

Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce, of 59 years; one daughter, Vicki (Steve) Yungerberg of Deephaven, Minnesota; two grandsons, Steven and Andrew Yungerberg; one sister, Marilyn Rethemeyer of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2007, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Karen Pahl officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or the church. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
