Harriet Myrtle Erickson

Harriet Myrtle Erickson, 93, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, June 14 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1917 in Lake City to Henry and Sarah (Linquist) Haase. She grew up in Lake City and attended school there. She married Archie Erickson on February 12, 1937 at St. Paul Lutheran in Red Wing. Harriet was a stay at home mom taking care of her four daughters. Archie passed away January 9, 1984. She had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to keep up on news and politics. She was a member of First Lutheran Church where she took part in several ladies circles and helped in the kitchen. She enjoyed cooking, baking, music and most of all visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her four daughters, Sally (Dwayne) Howe of Red Wing, Sandra (Dale) Lemmerman of Wyoming, Minnesota, Marilynn Erickson of Rochester, Susan (Paul) Trcka of Rochester; grandchildren, Fran Young, Michael Henry, Alexa Fryer, Sydni Fryer, Joel Lemmerman; great grandchildren, Lindsay, Kaitlen, Sam, Isaiah; step great grandchildren Shelby, Courtney, Ashley, Chelsey; great great grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Angelina; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Erickson; three brothers; five sisters.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at First Lutheran Church in Lake City with Reverend Darren Paulson officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Haase, Vernon Haase, Jerry Haase, LaMoyne Logan, Allan Blattner, and Paul Solheid. Visitation will be 5 to 7p.m. Thursday, June 16 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City and for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church or donors choice.
