Rochester Private burial for Harold K. Palmer will be Monday in Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, IL.
Mr. Palmer, 96, of Rochester, died Tuesday (Apr. 8, 2008) at Samaritan Bethany Heights in Rochester.
Born Mar. 26, 1912 in Chicago, IL, he graduated from High School in Rockford, IL. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 in the Asiatic-Pacific Theaters. On June 23, 1946 he married Maxine Cratty in Belvidere. The couple lived in Rockford where he was employed at Eclipse Fuel and Engineering. His wife died 1994. He moved to Rochester in 2002. He enjoyed living at Realife Cooperative and was an avid Cub's fan.
Survivors include a daughter Beverly (Howard) Lower of Rochester; four grandchildren, Tami, Kaye, and John (Cindy) Lower, and Cindy (Dan) Gustine; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and one sister.
