Harold H. Hilan, 85, of Red Wing, died Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Cardigan Ridge in Little Canada. He was born Sept. 3, 1933, in Baldwin, Wisconsin, to Orben and Anna (Meyer) Hilan. He served in the US Navy from 1951-1955 and retired after 25 years from the St. Paul Post Office. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Red Wing.
He is survived by niece, Deborah (Chuck) Pelton and their daughters, Amber (Mark) and Anna (Chase) and niece, Diana Nelson and her children Brianna, Trevor (Allisen) and Bailee and 3 great-grandnephews, Johnny, Jaxon and Chase. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Dwight and Glen Hilan.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Norelius Chapel at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Arthur Sharot officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with military honors by the Leo C. Peterson American Legion #54 will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
